The film earlier ran into trouble after the scriptwriter of Prithviraj‘s Kaduva,  Jinu Abraham, filed a case against the filmmakers alleging plagiarism. Last week, the Kerala High Court ordered filmmakers of #SG250 to stop all the works associated with the film until major changes to the script were made.

Meanwhile, Gopi began shooting his upcoming film Kaaval on Saturday. “Resumed the final schedule of my upcoming movie #Kaaval directed by @nithinrenjipanicker and produced by @goodwillentertainmentsofficial. Kaaval Loading,” Gopi wrote on social media recently.

The film stars Renji Panicker, Zaya David, Muthumani, Sujith Sankar, Alencier, and Kannan Rajan P Dev in pivotal roles. Kaaval is bankrolled by Joby George’s Goodwill Entertainment. While Nikhil S Praveen is handling the camera, Mansoor Muthootti will be the editor. Ranjin Raj will be composing the music.
