Director P Ranjith’s upcoming movie, Madras, is an “unbiased, honest look” at the life of a young software professional and his tryst with romance. Set in North Madras, Karthi plays the lead while actress Catherine Tresa dons the role of Kalaiarasi, his love-interest.
Actor Karthi was reportedly very impressed with the script that he decided to play the lead himself. The movie was mostly shot in Chennai over a period of 70 days in areas “that have never been seen before on screen”. Madras‘ audio, composed by Santhosh Narayanan, will be launched on June 23 at a luxury hotel in the city. The movie is eyeing a July release.
