Pa Paandi has been awarded a ‘U’ censor certificate, paving the way for an April 14 release. The film marks the directorial debut of Dhanush, and stars Rajkiran and Revathy.
The film went on the floors with the title Power Paandi. Later, the name was changed to Pa Paandi to increase its chances of getting a tax exemption.

Pa Paandi will go head-to-head with Ragava Lawrence’s Shivalinga and Arya’s Kadamban at the box-office next week.
Pa Paandi is reportedly about a romantic relationship between two 50+ individuals. The film has music by Sean Roldan, and marks a departure from the Dhanush’s usual choice of music director. Thus far, Dhanush has chosen to work with Anirudh Ravichander as the music director, and it was expected that the duo would rejoin for Dhanush’s directorial debut as well. But, due to undisclosed reasons, Sean Roldan has been roped in.
Produced by Wunderbar Films, the film also features Prasanna and Chaaya Singh in important roles, as well as Madonna Sebastian. There will also be a special appearance by Divyadarshini.
