Pallavi Subhash Walks Out of Gautham Menon’s Next

Actress Pallavi Subash, who was supposed to make her Tamil film debut with Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada, has walked out of the film, citing scheduling conflicts. In an interview to the Times of India, Pallavi said of her decision, “I was really excited about being part of Gautham Menon sir’s project and I’m grateful to them for having thought of casting me in that role. It would have been a dream launch for me, definitely. We started the project in October 2013 and launched a promo in February 2014. Post that, things took a different turn. There was a delay and they started a new project (Yennai Arindhaal) — it is absolutely up to them to decide on which project had to be finished first and I’m completely fine with that as it is their decision — but I was waiting for quite a while. Then, I had committed my dates to a TV show after waiting for one-and-a-half years. So, when they started this project again, I couldn’t give them the dates they wanted. So, it was completely a mutual decision to part ways.”

Director Gautham Menon was quite excited about beginning Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada again with STR and Pallavi Subash. The director even announced in a popular TV show that composer AR Rahman has completed a couple of songs for the movie. Now that the movie has come to a standstill, the team is on the lookout for an actress to replace Pallavi.
