To the excitement of the entire film industry, permission was issued by the authorities to shoot movies in the newly-run Chennai Metro trains. Chennai Metro is just a couple of months old, and several directors have already sought permission to film inside the train. A Dinamalar report revealed that the officials charged Rs 4 lakhs for one hour of shooting in the train.
A couple of months back, director Kannan had sought permission to shoot some integral scenes of his upcoming movie Poda Aandavane En Pakkam inside Chennai Metro. But the Chennai Metro Corporation quoted around Rs 50 lakhs for a 12-hour schedule.
