Pichaikaaran has been a turning point in his acting career. The film became a success in Tamil Nadu. The Telugu version Bichagadu has been arguably the biggest hit in Tollywood this year. Bichagadu released in May and raked in more than Rs 20 crores. The distributors of the film had bought it for just Rs 50 lakh.

The magnitude of Bichagadu’s profit reflected on Bethaldu’s (Saithaan) business – the Telugu producers purchased the rights to the film for Rs 3 crore.

Vijay Antony is currently filming Jeeva Shankar’s Yeman. His Saithaan is all set to release on December 2.
