Pichaikkaran’s Bollywood Remake To Mark Vijay Antony’s Hindi Debut

Actor Vijay Antony might make his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of his hit movie, Pichaikkaran. He is said to be in talks with Fox star studios about it.

Pichaikkaran is an action thriller which released in May this year. Directed by Sasi, the movie has Vijay Antony and Satna Titus in the lead roles. The movie is about a rich businessman who is forced to live like a beggar for 48 days to save his comatose mother. The movie garnered some good reviews.

Pichaikkaran was later dubbed and released in Telugu as Bichagadu, which also went on to become a hit. Interestingly, the movie is said to be based on a real-life incident. “Actually the story of this film is inspired by an incident that happened in the life of  somebody about whom director Sasi got to know,” Vijay Antony revealed in an interview to Indian Express.

While Vijay Antony seems like the most ideal option to reprise his role in Bollywood, the female role is up for grabs. With Satna Titus reportedly announcing an early retirement from her acting career, her role is currently vacant now. The cast and crew of the movie is yet to be finalised.

Actor Vijay Antony is currently busy with his projects Shaithan and Nambiar. Work on the remake would start in November.
