Following swift action from the Nadigar Sangam, the culprits behind a pirated version of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s latest film Manithan, have been nabbed. The pirated DVD was screened in a private bus owned by CJSSB Travels. The bus was travelling between Coimbatore and Chennai.

A passenger travelling on the bus alerted the Nadigar Sangam, who in turn informed the police at the Koyambedu Police Station and the Video Piracy Cell at Aynavaram. Video piracy Inspector Mr. Nandakumar and St. Thomas Mount Police Inspector Mr. Mahendran raided the bus and arrested the driver.

Manithan, directed by I Ahmed, released on the 28th of April to generally positive reviews from critics and audience alike.
