Poojai was censored with a U/A certificate on Saturday. However, the makers were not satisfied with the decision and approached the censor board to request a U. The committee watched the film again yesterday, but did not revise their decision. Poojai‘s publicist said that the producers and director Hari didn’t want to compromise by deleting a few racy action scenes.
Bankrolled by Vishal, the film features Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Radhikaa Sarathkumar among others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music and the flick will hit theatres on Deepavali.
