In a statement released by the production house, it was announced that the project is tentatively titled Production No.4. Madhesh Manickam who shot the web series Vella Raja, is the cinematographer. While Virkam Prabhu plays the lead, details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon. The makers are in the process of finalising the female lead, co-actors and technicians.

Talking about the film to Times of India, Tamilarasan said, “The film is based on a true incident that happened in Tamil Nadu. Many people can relate to this and I am certain that they are aware of this incident, too, as it sort of shook the state.”

The film is a cop drama, he said. “I have known Vikram Prabhu for a while now. And incidentally, when I wrote the script, I felt that he could carry off this role. It is a police script and Vikram will play a cop in this film.”
