Actor Prashanth who is making a comeback of sorts with Saahasam, will be reprising Akshay Kumar’s role in the Tamil remake of Special 26. The news was confirmed by Prashanth’s father and actor-producer Thiagarajan at the audio launch of Saahasam. They further announced that the film would be directed by Madhesh, who has previously worked with Prashanth in the 2001 film Chocolate.
Thiagarajan currently holds the remake rights of Special 26 in four languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. He also has the remake rights for Queen and Badlapur.
