Prithviraj and Manoj Bajpayee Join the Cast of Baby’s Prequel

Actors Manoj Bajpayee and Prithiviraj Sukumaran will be playing pivotal roles in the prequel to Neeraj Pandey’s 2015 film Baby. Taapsee Pannu will be playing the lead role in this film which will be directed by Shivam Nair. Reportedly, the film will be titled as Meera after Taapsee’s character, although her character was called Priya in Baby.

The film will be produced by Neeraj Pandey, who expressed his desire to make Baby a franchise film. Akshay Kumar, who played the lead in Baby will do an extended cameo in Meera. While Manoj Bajpayee and Prithviraj have been roped in for important roles, one more actor will be cast. How Taapsee’s character becomes an agent forms the crux of the film’s story, thus leading to what unfolded in Baby.
