A report in In.com says the actress is making her foray into the medium, however when contacted by Silverscreen, the actress, who is currently shooting for Adithya Varma, denied the reports and declined to comment at the current point of time.

Apart from Tamil, Priya Anand is popular in almost all major film industries including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. After making her acting debut through the 2009 Tamil film Vaamanan, the actress was featured as one of the two female leads in the 2011 Telugu film Leader starring Rana Daggubati, marking her Telugu debut.

Subsequently, she made her Hindi debut alongside Sreedevi in Gauri Shinde’s 2012 comedy drama English Vinglish. In the movie, Priya Anand played Sreedevi’s niece, settled in the US, who helps her during the times of distress.

She was also featured in the Hindi films Rangrezz and Fukrey. Ambarsariya, a romantic song from Fukery featuring her and Pulkit Samrat went on to become a huge hit. Her Malayalam debut came relatively late in 2017 when she played Prithviraj’s wife in the horror-thriller Ezra. Both the movie and her performance were appreciated. She has since gone on to star in two more successful projects. Kayamkulam Kochunni featuring Nivin Pauly, saw her playing the protagonist’s love interest. The movie, one of the costliest in Malayalam, also became a huge hit upon its release last year.

This year, she was featured as one of the female leads in B.Unnikrishnan’s Dileep starrer Kodathysamaksham Balanvakkeel. Following its success, the movie is set to be remade into other languages.

She struck gold in Tamil when the political satire LKG became a success. The actress recently replaced Raiza Wilson in the revamped version of Dhruva Vikram’s debut film Adithya Varma.
