Priya Prakash Varrier will soon make her Bollywood debut in Sreedevi Bungalow. The actor, who shot to fame after a video of her wink went viral, will play the role of a Bollywood heroine in the Hindi film.
Sreedevi Bungalow is by director by Prashanth Mambully. It will be shot in both Hindi and Tamil, according to a ToI report. Mambully says, “The movie is a suspense thriller that paints the life of a Bollywood actress named Sreedevi, played by Priya.”
Mambully neither denies nor confirms reports about Prabhu Deva’s participation in the film. “It is a big budget movie and will have a few prominent actors from Bollywood too. The story is set in London. We completed the first schedule last week and the second schedule begins on January 15,” he said. The team also finished shoot for the teaser last week in London.
Prashanth Mambully was the director of the 2009 Malayalam movie Bhagavan, starring Mohanlal in the lead. The film was known for finishing shoot in 19 hours.
Priya Prakash Varrier is the most searched Indian celebrity on Google. She recently surpassed Sunny Leone and Priyanka Chopra’s records. She gained international fame for the viral song Maanikya Malaraaya Poove from Oru Adaar Love earlier this year.

Talking about what made the video tick, she said in a LiveMint report, “Maybe there was a freshness to it. Nowadays everybody is on their phones… texting… even while talking to others they are on their phone. Their faces don’t express anything. Maybe when that (wink) came out, it was something innocent, fresh and striking.”
The makers of Oru Adaar Love recently announced that the movie will release on February 14. Priya Varrier also has a Telugu and Tamil project under production.
