Nimir Audio Launch: Priyadarshan Is A True Mentor, Says Udhayanidhi Stalin

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who will star in Nimir – the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaram, said that working with director Priyadarshan has been a learning experience.

Speaking at the film’s audio launch in Chennai, the actor said, “I believe I’ve given my greatest performance in Nimir, and all thanks to Priyadarshan. He is an open book, and, even while filming, he would keep sharing his experiences. Initially, I was a bit scared of him, but he’s a true mentor who taught and corrected me in several places.”

Samuthirakani, who plays the villain in the film, has also written the dialogues. Speaking about his director, he said, “Whenever I used to feel low, I would meet my mentor K Balachander. But after his death, I have felt a void. But after working with Priyadarshan, I feel I have another mentor.”

The film also stars veteran actor MS Baskar who was at the audio launch. He had last worked with the director for Sila Samayangalil.

Namitha Pramod and Parvathi Menon were also at the audio launch. Namitha, who is known for her work in Malayalam cinema, is making her Tamil debut with this film. Parvathi, who has worked in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, is the other female lead.

The film’s music is by Dabruka Siva and B Ajaneesh Lokanath, and is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, who also produced the original film. The film is slated to release on January 26.
