The report says that the Bhojpuri project, Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi, will hit the theatres this year. Two more films – Ventilator(Marathi) and Ek Onkar (Punjabi) – will be released by the banner in 2016. Also, the PPP will focus on ‘various forms of visual entertainment across all platforms’ including Hindi cinema, TV content, new age digital content and ad films. “At the end of the day, we are storytellers and that is only enhanced by being able to tell stories in varied languages. Priyanka is the ‘founder, talent samurai and chief troublemaker’ at PPP. The press statement quotes her, “Today, entertainment has a wide canvas which is not restricted by language or medium. At Purple Pebble Pictures, we are aspiring to erase boundaries and create an environment where the content/story is the hero”.
Recently, the actress won the prestigious People’s Choice Award for her role in the American FBI thriller Quantico. “India is “filled with exceptional young talent and our endeavour is to provide a platform for talent across the entertainment business to showcase their abilities”, she said in the press release.
