The recent Prithiviraj–Biju Menon starrer, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, has found a very appreciative audience in and outside Kerala. The film has done great numbers at the box office too, reportedly.

There’s been a lot of buzz around the film being remade in Tamil, and producer 5 Star Kathiresan has put those rumours to rest. He has announced that he will be making the film in Tamil.
Speaking to the press about this development, the producer said, “I was really spellbound by the movie. It kept me engaged from the beginning to the end. The script, the backdrop, the narrative, the visuals, and of course the amazing performances by the lead actors. I know that I could watch this film again.”
The producer’s excitement, however, is a tempered with the huge task ahead of him. He said, “In order for this movie to be adapted to our native milieu, a lot of work remains. We need to do justice to the original. Since acquiring the remake rights for the film, we are in talks with actors and technicians and hope to make official announcements soon.”
