The Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council (TFPC) has declared an indefinite strike until the wage issue with the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) is resolved. The TFPC issued a press release announcing that the shooting of each and every movie must be stopped. According to the press release, the official board of the FEFSI increased their wage structure without intimation or discussion with the TFPC.

The TFPC further stated that the decision has come as a shock and the sudden increase in wages would disrupt the work of small budget producers. Ongoing shootings have allegedly faced setbacks due to the FEFSI’s decision.
