Director Koratala Siva, who is awaiting the release of Mahesh Babu-starrer Srimanthudu, was supposed to team up with actor Ram Charan for a film last year. However, the film got shelved even before it went on floors for reasons not clearly known. Recently, Siva revealed that the project might get revived sometime later.
It was after the Ram Charan project got shelved, Siva met Mahesh on the sets of Aagadu and floored him with a few lines from Srimanthudu.
Mahesh’s character in Srimanthudu is based on Siva’s idea of an ideal role model. Unlike his directorial debut Mirchi, the female protagonist, played by Shruti Haasan, has an extended screen presence, Siva said.
