Shankar has revealed plans to begin work on the sequel of Imsai Arasan 23aam Pulikesi. The film marked the debut of Chimbudeven, and had Vadivelu in dual roles. Shankar produced it through his S Pictures. The comedy entertainer released in 2006. Eleven years later, a sequel has been announced.

Director Chimbudeven, actor Vadivelu will be back for the sequel, a spokesperson told Silverscreen. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be confirmed. An official announcement will be made soon.
