Putham Pudhu Kaalai: Suriya Launches Music Album on Twitter

Actor Suriya Sivakumar on Thursday launched the music album of Tamil anthology film Putham Pudhu Kaalai and released the the title track of the film sung and composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Sharing the link to the song, Suriya wrote: “@gvprakash you always compete with contemporary content & deliver every time with utmost dedication #PuthamPudhuKaalai title track is full of energy & hope.. Best wishes team!”

The music album consists of five songs composed by GV Prakash Kumar and Govind Vasantha. Prakash and lyricist Kaber Vasuki have worked on four of the five songs, including the title track, Manmadhan Naan Dhaana, Oho Endhan Baby, Kulfi Kuchchi and Kannam Adhil Vannam. Govind Vasantha composed Kanna Thoodhu Po Da, which was penned by Karky.

The title track seeks to serve as a summary of the film’s overarching message. The two-minute track features montages of scenes from the movie along with shots of Prakash. Prakash’s music video was shot by director Rajiv Menon, who has also directed one of the five short films in Putham Pudhu Kaalai. 

Releasing a sneak peek of the son on Twitter on Wednesday, Prakash wrote: “Really excited to share this fresh track with you guys. Here’s a sneak peek into my title track for #PuthamPudhuKaalai. Putham Pudhu Kaalai features five short films directed by Sudha KongaraGautham Vasudev MenonSuhasini Mani RatmanRajiv Menon, and Karthik Subbaraj. The movie is based on the themes of hope, love, second chances and new beginnings.

The movie was set and filmed in compliance with rules and regulations set by the Film Employees’ Federation of South India during the Covid-10 related lockdown. The film will be available across 200 countries on Amazon Prime Video from October 16.
