Radhika Apte To Star In A Hollywood Film Set During The World War II

Radhika Apte Launches the New Audi A4 in Chennai

Bollywood and theatre actress Radhika Apte is all to star in a Hollywood film, said to be a spy thriller set during the World War II. Apte will be playing Noor Inayat Khan, a spy, a pacifist of Indian descent who was the first female wireless operator, reports Deadline.

The film will star Stana Katic of Castle fame, along with Sarah Megan Thomas of Equity fame. Katic will play British intelligence officer Vera Atkins who sends two spies to France, Virginia Hall (Thomas) and Noor Inayat Khan (Apte).

Actors Linus Roache and Rossif Sutherland are part of the cast who will reportedly play real-life spies in Winston Churchill’s “secret army”. The film’s screenplay is written by Thomas and directed and produced by Lydia Dean Pilcher of Queen of Katwe fame.

Apte was last seen in PadMan, starring alongside Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor in the social drama. She has two other international projects in the pipeline including The Ashram and The Wedding Guest. She will soon be seen in the Netflix series Sacred Games, based on Vikram Chandra’s book.
