Sources tell Silverscreen that Rajinikanth will play dual roles in Lingaa – a grandfather and his grandson. While the older role will be set in the 1940’s, the other one will be his foreign-educated- royal-grandson who comes back to take the reigns of his dynasty back. Sonakshi Sinha will be seen romancing the older Rajinikanth whereas Anushka Shetty will be paired opposite the younger one. Sources further added that Sonakshi picked her role as it is more substantial.
