Rajinikanth filed a petition recently to ban the Hindi film, Main Hoon Rajinikanth. The film follows a contract killer named Rajinikanth Rao, played by actor Adithya Menon. In his petition, the Superstar has stated that certain portions of the film have portrayed him in bad light and is an attempt to malign his image.
The Madras High Court, on hearing the case, has ordered a temporary stay on the film and has also asked its makers to come up with a proper response to the petition.
Rajinikanth’s publicist told us that the actor was very unhappy with the way his name was used in the film, and that the makers did not approach the star for permission. The case will go up for hearing again on the 22nd of this month.
