Rajinikanth To Watch Kannada Star Vishnuvardhan’s Nagarahavu

Late actor Vishnuvardhan is back on silver-screen – this time with the help of computer-generated imagery worth a whopping Rs 15 crore. The legendary actor has been recreated using special effects for a cameo in upcoming Kannada film, Nagarahavu.

Reportedly, actor Rajinikanth, who was a great friend of Vishnuvardhan, will watch the film at a special screening in Chennai today.

Besides Kannada, Nagarahavu will be released in Tamil as Shivanagam and Telugu as Nagabharanam.

Vishnuvardhan, one of the most popular actors in Kannada, died in 2009 due to a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, and two adopted daughters, Keerthi and Chandana. Even to this day, he has a huge fan base in Karnataka. Young actors in Sandalwoods make references to him and his films in their movies, trying to cash in on his popularity among the masses.

Nagarahavu is a fantasy-mythology movie directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, who helmed Telugu superhit Arundhathi. The film also stars Ramya (Divya Spandana), who was on a break from acting after joining active politics. Actors Diganth, Saikumar, Rajesh Vivek, Sadhu Kokila and Mukul Dev among others play important roles in the film.
