Raju Mahalingam Quits Lyca Productions To Join Rajinikanth’s Political Party

Rajinikanth’s clarion call of bringing about a political revolution in Tamil Nadu has already started attracting foot soldiers. Producer Raju Mahalingam, who was also the creative head of Lyca Productions, has resigned from his position to join Rajinikanth’s political party.

He reportedly said, “I saw him (Rajinikanth) at close quarters during the making of 2.0. Rajini Sir’s sincerity, honesty and dedication has attracted me to his party.”

Incidentally, Lyca Productions is also bankrolling 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The film is directed by Shankar and is slated for an April release.

Rajinikanth, in his first interaction with the media after his announcement, said that Tamil Nadu needs a political revolution. “Spiritual politics is something to do with being truthful and honest, and it is something beyond caste, creed and religion,” he said.

The actor has several teams helping him with data and research in order to filter out candidates who could be a potential threat.

He has reportedly brought in teams to scout the state for specific data and solutions, along with a technology team that will set things in motion by adopting the data analytics approach.
