Rakhi Sawant has been denied anticipatory bail and the Ludhiana Court has issued orders to arrest her.
Indian Express reports that Rakhi Sawant ran into trouble for allegedly saying that Valmiki was a murderer (which some legends say he was, before he reformed). In July last year, a lawyer, Narinder Adiya, filed a case against Rakhifor hurting the sentiments of a community with her remark.
Rakhi has already apologised to the Valmiki community for her statement.

Last month, Rakhi was to appear in the Ludhiana court. However, she couldn’t make it due to a foot injury. She issued another apology on the occasion. “I never meant to hurt anyone. However, if I did it in ignorance, I seek an apology from the people,” she said.
However, for failing to appear in court, Judicial Magistrate Vishav Gupta ordered a fresh arrest warrant, and set the matter for a September hearing.
However, Rakhi Sawant’s lawyers have moved the District Sessions Magistrate to get an extension for Rakhi’s anticipatory bail.
