Baahubali star Rana Daggubati has started preparing for his role as a naval officer in his next film, which is about a Pakistani flagship submarine, Ghazi, which sank near the eastern coast of India during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, under mysterious circumstances.

In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, the actor said he had already started interacting with naval officers as part of his preparation for the role. “I’ve met a friend’s father, who was in the navy for years, and am trying to set up more appointments early next month,” he said.
The team plans to start shooting soon and has already started working on the prototype of two submarines that will be used in the film, which will be directed by Sankalp. The film will be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
