Ranya Rao, the model who launched her acting career with Sudeep’s Kannada film Maanikya, has been confirmed as the heroine of Vikram Prabhu’s Wagah. She has joined the film’s crew in Ooty, where certain crucial scenes are being canned.
Wagah is directed by GNR Kumaravel, best-known for directing the critically acclaimed Haridas. Actors Sathyan and Ilavarasan are a part of the supporting cast. The first schedule of the film was wrapped up in Karaikudi, and future shooting locations include Kulu Manali, Ladakh, and the Wagah Border.
Wagah is produced by Vijay Bhargavi Films, and has on board music director Imman.
