Television anchor Rashmi Gautam, who has played minor roles in films such as Current and Bindaas, is betting big on National award-winning filmmaker Praveen Sattaru’s Guntur Talkies. Said to be playing a simple village belle in the film, she hopes the role will springboard her career to great heights. “Rashmi’s role is very crucial from the story’s perspective. Audiences will get to see her in a completely new avatar and i’m sure they’re going to love her,” director Sattaru told Silverscreen.
The film’s shooting is taking place in the interiors of Andhra Pradesh. A rural comedy, the film also features Naresh and Shraddha Das in important roles.
