Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon reportedly stars in KGF: Chapter 2, starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead. Telugu actor Ramesh Rao has also signed up for an important role.
Deccan Chronicle reported yesterday that Raveena Tandon is part of the cast, and will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi in the film. The spokesperson for the film, however, told Silverscreen that her participation cannot be confirmed as yet. Raveen Tandon is a film and TV actor and producer, known for her roles in movies such as Laadla, Dulhe Raaja, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Satta, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and also the Kannada film Upendra. Her latest release was the 2017 film Shab.
The sequel of director Prashanth Neel’s KGF has been making headlines since shoot began in Kolar on May 8. It has a bigger star cast, with Sanjay Dutt playing the antagonist and Srinidhi Shetty reprising her role as the heroine. It is said that her role has been fleshed out better in the sequel; in the first part, she played the typical rich kid who fancies the hero.
The first schedule of the film is on. Yash’s fans and the filmmakers have been asking people to not share pictures from the shooting spot. Leaked stills and a selfie of the actor in which he is seen with longer hair and a more rugged look went viral earlier this month.

The film is inspired by real events that took place at the Kolar Gold Fields in the 70s, and Yash’s character makes a name for himself in Bombay before eventually heading to KGF. Chapter 1 was big hit, and the filmmakers announced that while the first film centered around Yash’s rise as a gangster, the second would focus on his decline.
Ramakrishna Raju, Vasishta N Simha, Ayyappa P, Harish Rai, Ananth Nag and Malavika Avinash were a part of KGF. Music was by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda. The film released in December 2018 in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. A release date for the sequel has not been fixed yet.
