Contrary to rumours, Regina Cassandra will not play one of the female leads in the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Premam, which is tentatively titled Majnu.

“Regina was considered initially when we began casting, but she has not been fixed. We have approached Aisha Sharma to play the third lead, but she’s yet to sign on the dotted lines,” The film’s director Chandoo Mondeti told Silverscreen.in.
Aisha, if she comes on board, will reprise Madonna Sebastian’s role from the original. The film, which features Naga Chaitanya as the male lead, went gone on floors recently. Currently, the makers are shooting the college sequences which features Shruti Haasan as a lecturer. Shruti’s pictures from the film’s location have been circulating on social media platforms.
