Remo D’Souza Announces New Production, ‘Nawabzaade’

Remo D’Souza is set to co-produce another movie called Nawabzaade. The new film will  feature choreographers-turned-actors, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak and Dharmesh Yelande. Earlier this year, Remo announced that he will be producing a film that will star choreographers-turned-actors Shakti Mohan and Salman Yusuff Khan, to be directed by Stanley D’Costa. Nawabzaade  would be his second film this year.

Though Remo is currently busy with other projects, he said that he wanted to give their careers of these actors a little push. “I did two films with the three of them — ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013) and ABCD 2 (2015). I saw they had a lot more talent [than what was explored on screen]. I want them to grow, so a film featuring just the three of them will be apt. My friend Jayesh Pradhan, who has been working with me since I began my career, will direct this film,” he said.

His wife, Lizelle D’Souza, will handle his production ventures but he will still be a ‘hands-on’ producer. “The story of this film won’t be dance-oriented. But there will be dance sequences in the movie. I have never handled a subject like this before, so it will be new for all of us,” says Remo.

Remo’s latest release A Flying Jatt with Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline D’Souza released earlier this year. The superhero film opened to mostly negative reviews and was not a success at the box office. Remo made his debut with the 2011 film F.A.L.T.U.
