Remo will release on October 7. The film starring Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh has had a slew of high profile song releases (Remo Nee Kadhalan, Senjitaley) recently. The film’s producer RD Raja of 24 AM Studios is hoping that releasing his film during the Dussehra period will boost its box office potential.
According to the film’s director – Bhagyaraj Kannan, the film is a ‘different kind of light hearted romantic comedy’. “We have seen so many love stories onscreen. This is also at heart a love story, but it will have different treatment. Siva sir’s look is just the tip of the iceberg. The movie has a lot more surprises for the audience.”

As to Sivakarthikeyan’s make over for the film – the actor appears in drag as a female nurse, the director had this to say : “I’m sure everybody thought this was an attention seeking stunt. But there’s a reason to this. A meaning behind this transformation. I wouldn’t have people dressing as female nurses just for fun. I have too much respect for women and towards the nursing profession for that!”
The film is produced by 24 AM Studios, has cinematography by PC Sreeram and music by Anirudh Ravichander. Sri Divya has a special guest role in the movie, while KS Ravikumar, Saranya Ponvannan have been cast in major roles.
