Richa Chadda, known for her roles in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Masaan (2015), and Cabaret (2016), has reportedly signed up for an American TV series. Chadda will play one of the three lead characters in the project.
According to a Mid-Day report, the actress has been signed for eight episodes of the series that is said to be a courtroom drama. Set against the 1970’s racism related unrest in Chicago, the series will have Chadda playing a lawyer.
The actress will shoot for the series for a month. During this time, Chadda has also planned to attend screenings of her Indo-American film Love Sonia, the story of a young Indian village girl who unwittingly becomes a part of the sex trade. Directed by Tabrez Noorani, the film stars newcomer Mrunal Thakur along with Freida Pinto, Demi Moore, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Rajkummar Rao, and Sai Tamhankar.
Meanwhile, Richa Chadda will next be seen in the sequel of her 2011 film Fukrey 2 as well as in a web series.
