Richie will release in May. It’s director Gautham Ramachandran told DC: “The editing of the film has been completed, and the DI and sound mixing processes have begun. I’m quite excited about the sound mixing — Vishnu Govind and Shankar from Sound Factory will be doing it. They are perhaps the best in the business, and I am very positive about the output.”
Richie will feature Nivin Pauly in a completely different role from what he has done thus far, Gautham revealed. “The character of Richie will be a stark contrast from what the audience, even in Kerala, have seen Nivin do so far. If they had categorised him in any way, Richie will be diagonally opposite to that, I’m sure.”

The film is an adaptation of Rakshit Shetty’s Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe. Actors Natty, Shraddha Sainath, Prakash Raj will be seen in the film in pivotal roles.
