Ritika Singh is in talks to play the female lead in Renigunta director Panneerselvam’s next film in which Vijay Sethupathi plays the male lead. If the deal works out, this will be the second time that Singh would be collaborating with actor Vijay Sethupathi. The duo was last seen onscreen in the recent film, Aandavan Kattalai directed by National Award winner M Manikandan.
Earlier, Keerthy Suresh was considered for the role. Now, it has been reported the team has initiated talks with Ritika, who is shooting for Shivalinga with Raghava Lawrence.
Director Paneer Selvam said: “Talks are on with Ritika and we will finalise the rest of the cast and crew in a couple of days. Also, Vijay Sethupathi will sport a different get-up in this village-based script. This untitled film is an action love story and will go on the floors on 15 December.”

Ritika Singh is also in the running to play the female lead in Suriya’s film with Komban director Muthiah. The actress rose to fame with her National Award-winning portrayal of the gritty Madhi in Sudha Kongara Prasad’s Irrudhi Suttru.
