Rotten Apples: A Database That Tells If A Movie/TV Show Is Tied To A Person Accused Of Sexual Misconduct

The Harvey Weinstein scandal opened a Pandora’s box of sorts, where victims who had long been quiet voiced their experiences and called out sexual predators that surpassed the entertainment industry. It triggered movements on social media. In addition to cancelling films and shows that include an alleged sexual predator, now there is a database known as Rotten Apples that will show if anyone from the film has been accused of or linked with any sexual harassment.

Since it’s difficult to track which film or TV show had a person accused of sexual misconduct, the database aims to spread awareness.

Searching for Hannah And Her Sisters will bring up Woody Allen’s name, searching for The Usual Suspects will give you Kevin Spacey’s and Bryan Singer’s name along with links to news reports.

All you have to do is type the film or TV show’s name and the details pop up. If there isn’t anybody accused of sexual misconduct, the film is called a ‘Fresh Apple’.
