SA Chandrasekhar has dismissed rumours that he would be working with his actor son, Vijay, in his next. The director last cast Vijay in a pivotal role in his Sukran. Since then, there have been several reports of the duo collaborating, but to no avail.
In conversation with Silverscreen, SAC said:
“At present, I have no plans of working with Vijay. I’d love to, but there are no plans. He has his own projects and I have mine. When my artistic sensibilities collide with his, I will definitely do one.”

SAC was also effusive in his praise of Atlee, who is the director of Vijay’s Mersal.
“The first look of the film has reached the audience at such an unprecedented level. This spells well for the whole film, and I am excited to see it just as you are now.”
SAC says that his next film will be inspired by his own life, just like Touring Talkies . He hopes to work with Vijay Antony in the project. “Actor or music director, that’s his choice,” the director said.
