Saamy Square Trailer: Vikram Is Back Again As The Ruthless, Foul-Mouthed Police Officer

Saamy 2 Movie Stills Starring Vikram and Keerthy Suresh

After breaking records with the 2003 flick Saamy, Vikram and Hari team up again for a sequel of the cop drama. While the prequel shattered box office and was also regarded as one of the best cop films of all time, the sequel looks nothing less. Touted to be a racy entertainer, the film will see Vikram returning as the foul-mouthed police officer Aarusaamy.

The trailer of the film which was shelved due to the Tuticorin massacre, was finally released today and needless to say, the Vikarm-Keerthy Suresh entertainer is packed with all the required mass elements. The film is set 29 years later with Aarusaamy’s son (Vikram) and Perumal Pichai’s son Ravana Pichai (Bobby Simha) locking horns.

The trailer opens with Vikram’s action-packed entry as the ruthless police officer. This is then followed by a series of action sequences between Vikram and Bobby Simha, who plays the protagonist in the film.

The pacy background score slowly transforms into a melody, giving us a glimpse of  Aarusaamy’s love life with Keerthy Suresh,  his family, and a few comedy clips lead by Soori. The punch however comes when Vikram says the dialogue: “Na thai vayathile porakala, pei vayathile porandhen” (I was not born in my mother’s stomach, but in a devil’s stomach), during an action sequence with the film’s villain.

The trailer then ends with Vikram delivering yet another punch line – ‘Na Saamy ille boodham’ (I am not God, I am a devil).
