Sai Pallavi will play the female lead in the upcoming Tamil remake of Charlie. The actress will play the character played by Parvathy in the original.
This is the second Tamil film for Sai Pallavi. The actress has also signed the Vikram – Vijay Chander film, that is yet to go on the floors.
The untitled project, directed by Vijay, will go on floors in March. The director hopes to begin shooting the film once he’s done filming Vanamagan.

Pramod Films will finance the film. Co-producer Shruti Nallapa told TNIE that the script has been reworked to suit the Tamil audience “The director has worked on the script a lot and changed it according to the sensibilities of the Tamil audience. Our film is inspired by Charlie’s storyline.”
Leon James will compose the music for this film.
Sai Pallavi made her acting debut through Alphonse Puthren’s Premam. She followed it up with roles in Kali, and Telugu film Fida.
