Saithan’s Telugu Version ‘Bethaludu’ Makes Profits Even Before Release

After the success of Bichagadu, the Telugu dubbed version of Pichaikaaran, Vijay Antony’s next release Bethaludu (Saithan in Tamil) has already made table profits before the film’s release.

Bichagadu released in May and raked in more than Rs 20 crores. The distributors of the film had bought it for just Rs 50 lakh. The magnitude of Bichagadu’s profit reflected on Bethaldu’s business; the Telugu producers purchased the rights to the film for Rs 3 crore.

Bethaludu has already done roaring pre-release business in all areas, bringing in table profits.

Vijay Antony, Boyapati Srinum Bellamkonda Suresh, Actor Nikhil and others attended the music launch of the film, in which the first few minutes were screened. “I never expected this response. Usually an actor gets such a reception after 20-25 films, but I am glad people here have accepted me just after my third film,” said Vijay Antony at the function.

Vijay Antony’s wife Fatima is the producer for all his movies, while the actor himself has composed music for this film. It is a psychological thriller directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy and co-stars Arundhathi Nair. Bike racer Alisha Abdullah is also part of the supporting cast of the film, along with YG Mahendran, Charu Haasan, and Adukalam Murugadoss. The film will be based on the novel A Girl with a Dragon Tattoo.
