Salim will release on August 29. The Vijay Antony starrer was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on Independence day, pitting it against the big budget flick Anjaan. But the producers have now decided to postpone the release.
The thriller movie is directed by NV Nirmal Kumar, a former associate of Bharathiraja and is a sequel of sorts to Naan. Vijay Antony plays the titular role in this flick and has also composed music for it. He has also produced the film under his Vijay Antony Film Corporation. Studio 9 and Sri Green are the other producers of this project.
Salim‘s music was launched sometime back by Bharathiraja and has enjoyed some success with the audience.
