Nitin Kakkar, who made his directorial debut with the national award-winning movie, Filmistan in 2012, and Salman Khan will team up for a movie which will be produced by BR Films. According to a TOI report, actor Fawad Khan will play a pivotal role in the film, which will go on the floors early next year.

Reportedly, the film is an urban romance-drama. Fawad Khan, who was last seen in Shakun Batra’s critical and commercial success, Kapoor And Sons, is also a part of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hei Mushkil. The film, which has Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai playing lead roles, might release in December. Fawad, who is from Pakistan, made his Bollywood debut through Sonam Kapoor’s Khobsoorat in 2014.
Nitin Kakkar is also helming Fanney Khan, which is co-produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film, starring Anil Kapoor, is the official remake of Everybody’s Famous!
