Salman Khan To Start A Television Channel And Kids Brand

Salman Khan Promotes 'Notebook'

Salman Khan, who has been acquiring the rights to his old films, is set to launch his television channel SKTV. Similar to his Being Human foundation, the actor will also launch a brand called Being Children, dedicated to kids.

“Salman is planning a TV channel and hence he needs a lot of content. SKTV is the name of his production house that produces television shows including The Kapil Sharma Show. His film company is called Salman Khan Films. Now, he has also started the production of more television shows. And, it won’t be surprising if he moves The Kapil Sharma Show to his own channel once his licenses are in place,”  a source was quoted as saying by DC.

Earlier, it was reported that the Dabangg star was in the process of acquiring the rights to his older films. “Most of Salman’s films in recent times have him as the producer and hence he has the rights, but with earlier films, he needs to get the rights to showcase them,” a source said.

Salman Khan is also planning a brand, focused exclusively on kids. “There will be everything from pre-primary to day-care and other allied activities. There will be other things connected to children. It is in the planning stages at the moment,” added the source.

On the work front, the actor has Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat gearing up for release this year. Starring Katrina Kaif in the female lead, the shooting for the movie wrapped up recently.

He is also set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film. He will reunite with the director for a love story, 20 years after their film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Reports suggest that the two are already in talks, and that the movie may go on floors by the second half of this year.

He will soon start shooting for Dabangg 3 as well.
