A spokesperson for the actress would not comment on the rumours, but a DC report cites a source:
“The story is told from her perspective. Revealing more details would be unfair to the film. I can only tell you that her character is based in the ’80s. Samantha was very excited about the role because she hasn’t done something like this earlier.”
Meanwhile, rumours that Samantha plays actress Jamuna, a rival to Savithri, have also been in circulation.
Directed by Naga Ashwin, the film has music by Mickey J Meyer and is a bilingual.
