The shoot of Samuthirakani’s directorial Kitna, starring himself and Dhanshikaa in lead roles, has been resumed, after being put on hold. Kitna is a story that starts in 1975 and ends in 2015.

In an interview to Kungumam, Samuthirakani stated that the film was all about humility. “We live in a society where nobody is ready to help someone involved in an accident. But Kitna is the kind of person who would help the injured person and get him admitted at the hospital nearby”
Samuthirakani will be seen in 4 different looks, ranging from a 28 year old to a 60 year old, in the movie. The stills from the film show the lead pair in a rustic village look. The story of Kitna is based on a Tamil novel ‘Keedhari‘, penned by author Tamilselvi. It is also reported that the film maybe screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
