Actress Mia George, who was recently cast opposite Sasikumar in Vetrivel, has signed a horror film titled Rum. Actress Sanchita Shetty, of Soodhu Kavvum fame, and Hrishikesh, who played Dhanush’s brother in Velaiyilla Pattadhari, are also on the lead cast. Actors Narain and Vivek will also play important roles in the film.
Rum, which means judgement (theerpu in Tamil), will be directed by debutant director Sai. Director Sai has stated that the title has no correlation to any alcoholic beverage.
Music director Anirudh Ravichander, who has lost a couple of projects because of the ‘Beep Song’ controversy, will be scoring the music for the film. Hrishikesh and Anirudh are cousins in real life and have previously worked together in Velaiyilla Pattadhari.

The film will go on floors on February 22.
