Santhana Krishna Replaces Jomon T John In ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’

Cinematographer Jomon T John, who shot the teaser and initial schedule of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram, has reportedly left the project. According to a Sify report, ace cinematographer’s son Ravi K Chandran’s son Santhana Krishnan has replaced Jomon.

With Jomon gone, GVM roped in Santhana as he was impressed with the cameraman’s work in the Malayalam film Two Countries (2015). Santhana also has four Bollywood films to his credit as an assistant cinematographer, namely: Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013), Goliyon Ka Raseela – Ram Leela (2014), Bewakoofiyan (2014), and Happy New Year (2014).

“He’s been working on the project for a while now. Gautham Menon had met Santy (Santhana Krishnan) through a common friend and they both instantly bonded. Gautham was impressed with Santy’s passion for the craft and the energy he brings with him,” a source told The New Indian Express

The film stars Vikram (who has replaced Suriya), and has Ritu Varma (who has replaced Anu Emmanuel) in the lead. R Parthiepan is also part of the film, with music by Harris Jayaraj, and produced by Ondraga Entertainment and Escape Artists Madan. The spy-thriller is slated for an August release.
