Actor Santhanam began work on his next film with A1 fame director K Johnson on Monday evening. The untitled film is being bankrolled by K Kumar under his Lark Studio banner. This will be the second association of the actor with the director after their 2019 comedy-drama A1.
Santhanam took to Twitter to announce the news.

The film is touted to be a gangster thriller set in North Madras. The crew is also believed to shoot in Madurai, Malaysia and other parts of Chennai.

The makers have roped in Semma Botha Aagathey and Kee fame Anaika Soti as the female lead. While the rest of the technical crew is yet to be announced, Santhosh Narayanan will be composing for the film with Arthur A Wilson handling cinematography. This is the third association of the composer with the actor after Server Sundaram and A1.
The film will reportedly be completed in a single schedule of 45-50 days.
Meanwhile, Santhanam will next feature in R Kannan’s Biskoth. Its first look poster was recently unveiled. He will also be seen in the long-delayed Server Sundaram helmed by Anand Balki, and in debutant Karthik Yogi’s Dikkilona that recently wrapped up shoot. His previous film Dagaalty helmed by Vijay Anand did not see great numbers at the box office.
